| I started my new job today at Marshall Field's in their food division. It was a very exciting time as well as a very hectic time. I learned a lot of new ways about doing certain things and I also learned that I will be getting to work some normal people hours which was very exciting. The restaurant that I am in is a very old landmark type of restaurant in St. Paul and it has tremendous food so if you ever are eating in St. Paul stop in you won't be disappointed. Anyways I guess that is all for now. Have a great work week everyone. | | |
| - Bless the Broken Road I just got back from Mexico a few nights ago. It was another relaxing time with the Schramm family. I had lots of fun eating all the ethnic foods, reading all the books, and trying not to get a heat rash again. I had success in everything except getting a heat rash and I stayed out of the sun enough to not have it iritate to much so that was a positive.
Other than that I dont have to much things going on right now. I have moved into my new apartment in Inver Grove Heights and am relaxing in my last week off before I go to work at the River Room in St. Paul for training. It sounds like it is a pretty fancy higher class joint. So hopefully I do alright. I hope everyone's Christmas and New Year's turned out the way you wanted it too. Have a great day, C ya later!
| Hey Everyone,
First off here is the dealio with me. I am finally graduating college after 5.5 years, yes its been a long time. I had so much fun along the way though you can't even imagine. I mean I had runnins with deer, homecomings etc.etc. It was fun and I learned a lot while I was here. So thats the story I am graduating on Saturday:) Oh but wait there's more! I have happily accepted a job this morning from Marshall Field's Food Division as an Executive in Training. I am one out of the entire midwest who got a chance at this job which is one of the reasons that I did take it as well as the fact that after I had prayed about it for a good portion of the past two weeks I felt like God was pushing me in this direction and low and behold I was offered the job.
What's all this Marshall Field's stuff mean? For one I will be stationed in the Twin Cities so I will be close to my family and Kate. Secondly I have put my start date in as January 10. So in another couple of weeks I will be venturing into a new career. So I guess I am joining the corporate sector like Press and Brandon are already in, probably not a bad lifestyle. So thats all I got for now I suppose I will hopefully get to chat with everyone later. See ya
| - Jackson, Mississippi I just finished my final spring break here at Stout tear, tear, sniff sniff. I had a pretty good time over the last week, It started out going down to Madison to visit Kate's parents, like always Madison has some awesome food and it seems to be harder and harder to come back everytime. It was pretty cool just hanging out with Kate's parents too. I hadn't seen them since Mexico a few months ago so that was very nice to see them.
The mid part of the week was spent back home working at the ski area. This time of the year is pretty fun because it is much more laid back, the managers don't seem as concerned about getting people to come out because the big rush is over. Its starting to get warmer too which is another good thing.
I finished my week being an usher in a wedding which was actually kind of cool because I had never been an usher before so it was a new experience and I like trying new things. One last thing before I jet, I just want to say congrats to Liz and Aaron my friends who just got married this past weekend. As well as congrats to my buddy Jake and his fiance Lisa (one of Kate's best friends). See everyone later.
| Well another long week is almost over. I am trying to get done with school as fast as I can so I can start making some money actually. I just added three more credits to bring the grand total up to 19 not bad if I do say so myself. I added a Ssafety and Risk Management class to my repitiore. Its a very interesting and exciting class. It also is making me a lot more cautious about how I approach things. My biggest news of the week is that I have an interview tommorow at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minn. I am pretty excited about it because it is actually the first big time interview I have had ever and for being 23 thats not saying to much. I am sure I'll do fine though. But other than that not much is going on just that we must have gotten another six inches of snow this week at least which brings that grand total to way to much:) Anyways everybody have a great weekend see ya later. | | |
